The launch of the next-generation Audi RS 3 is still several months away but here’s what it will look like. Potentially.
If you thought this looked like the real thing, you’re not alone, because this is one of the most realistic – and plausible – renderings of the upcoming Audi RS 3 hatch we have ever seen.
Rendered by automotive designer Kleber Silva based on the recently unveiled Audi A3 hatch, this ‘virtual’ 2021 Audi RS 3 builds on the already sporty design of the A3 with a sharper headlights, a wider honeycomb mesh grille and a more aggressive front bumper.
The beefed up front and rear wheel fenders have been left intact, but a side skirt is visible between them. In the rear, the diffuser is deeper, in which integrates the signature Audi RS twin oval exhaust tips. Finally, striking 19-inch RS wheels look to be the order of the day.
As with before, the new RS 3 is expected to pack a 2.5-litre 5-cylinder turbocharged engine with a slight increase in power to around 308kw, accompanied with 500Nm of torque. Putting the power down is expected to be a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive.
The new Audi RS 3 is expected to debut online later this year.
