The next-generation BMW M2 will reportedly continue to be rear-wheel drive, even as the 2 Series Gran Coupe is based on a front-wheel drive architecture. Due to arrive in late 2021, the next-gen M2 will remain as a front-engined and rear-drive 2-door coupe.
Details are sacred but this realistic rendering by Instagram user @zer.o.wt should provide a good fix for all the BMW fans out there who have been waiting eagerly for the M2’s release.
The new M2 is expected to feature a new inline-six engine boosted by twin turbocharges and connected to a dual-clutch transmission.
