Skoda has released a teaser sketch of its upcoming Vision X concept urban crossover which is set to make its debut at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. The hybrid concept is said to provide a vision of Skoda’s third series-production model to conquer the fast-growing small SUV segment.
The FlexGreen-painted study features precise lines, clear surface contours and contrasting Anthracite roof in addition to the pre-requisite 20-inch motor show wheels. Skoda says its sharp design was inspired by traditional Czech glasswork.
Inside, the Vision X’s interior defines a new design language with wide, ergonomically contoured dashboard featuring a freestanding colour display that dominates the interior. Additionally, illuminated elements made of cut crystal glass in conjunction with the colour display create an atmospheric lighting effects.
Skoda intends to expend its model range in the fast expanding SUV segment by 2025. The company also plans to roll out plug-in hybrid vehicles and all-electric cars with a promise that every fourth vehicle the brand delivers worldwide will have either of those powertrains.
