WSE 3.0 Beta 1

In case you missed it, Mark's team released WSE 3.0 Beta 1 last week (that's why he was so giddy at dinner the other night). Congrats guys. WSE3 is a great piece of work. I've been having a blast playing with this latest version -- it feels like Indigo-lite for today. The ASMX hosting integration, MTOM, and greatly simplified security/policy support makes WSE manageable for the average ASMX dev.

Along with the bits, they've posted several WSE3 video/slide presentations that you can download from the new and improved Web Services and Other Distributed Technologies Developer Center. That new name cracks me up -- almost as much as "Windows Communication Foundation" -- I can't write or say either without smiling. Is that bad?

Installation note: WSE3 Beta 1 requires the August CTP of VS.NET 2005. It won't install on the main beta 2 release. This also means you can't run Indigo Beta 1 RC on the same box since it requires beta 2.
