Office and a short, bald man

Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office (version 2.0) and 3.0 (!)

We just wouldn't be Microsoft if we weren't already thinking about the version after the version after the version we haven't yet released. Most of it is kept Top Secret not just to protect our IP, but also in the best interest of our customers.

Well, every now and then you get to peak in the Top Secret files, and the key event for this is PDC. At PDC this year there will be plenty on VSTO 2.0, but we will also be unveiling early builds of VSTO 3.0 (the version after the version we haven't yet released ;). That's about all I can say for now, but go to Eric Carter's blog to get the full 411 on the events and sessions:

Rock Thought for the Day: Billy Squier- Back in the 80's, I was a big Squier fan. But, then he had that weird video when he was going crazy in a pink jumpsuit. Now, I love Bowie's Ziggy Stardust era, but Billy was no Ziggy. Nevertheless, his songs hold up. And, I found that he has an all acoustic mostly blues album called Happy Blue released in 1998. This album shows his careful affinity for real blues. Muddy Waters would surely be pleased with some of the tracks on this album. One tune, "Stroke Me Blues" is particularly good, and has no relation to his mega-hit, "Stroke Me" from about 1981.

Rock On

Now if you could keep those products top secret forever, that would be the best customer satisfaction ever.

Customer service?

This reminds me of Delta telling me how "providing the best customer service possible" was the reason why they weren't going to hold my flight heading home even though they dumped me at Atlanta Hartsfield 5 minutes before its takeoff.

Customer service indeed.
