Q&A from this webcast:

Q: Where will I find the fit-it addin
A: It's part of the code advisor - http://msdn.microsoft.com/vbasic/previous/2003/downloads/CodeAdvisor/
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: What is that vb6.format in the code above
A: vb6.format is a reference to the format function in a vb6 compatibility library. During upgrade, this is used because the VB6 format function has a different signature from the Format function in the .NET namespace. Ideally you'd change that after upgrade to the .NET format function
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Anything similar to this convertor available for converting from Microsoft Access into .NET?
A: I did a quick search on MSN Search and found this tool - http://www.microtools.us/anetvb7.aspx.  I have not used it before, so I can't vouch for its effectiveness, but it sounds like what you seek.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Can you elaborate about "dependencies"? (You mentioned them when talking about upgrade vs re-write from scratch). For example, there's a good MSDN article at http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms162160.aspx, but it only talks about database dependencies. Which kinds of dependencies are the trickiest to find/deal with?
A: Dependencies include any references that your application utilizes. For instance, any referenced libraries are considered dependecies for your project.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: I wanted to extend my thanks, these webcasts have helped me greatly in migrating from VB6 to VB 2005!
A: I'm glad you appreciated the series. If you have feedback on your upgrade experiences, please do post them on my blog http://blogs.msdn.com/jacobcy
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Can I bring the code I'm writing to convert my Access forms to ASP.NET along and join the Microsoft tool I wish I could just buy? I'm working on 60K lines of VB code here.
A: I have to look into Access form migration to see what tools might be available to help you. See question #3, above, for a link to a WinForms-generating tool.  The company also creates a WebForms-generating tool - http://www.microtools.us/anetvbc.aspx.
