Ferrari’s latest one-off bespoke creation, the 458 MM Speciale has had its covers removed and its first shakedown on the famous Fiorano circuit.

This one-off masterpiece was designed in-house by the Ferrari Styling Centre and built on the chassis and running gear of the 458 Speciale.

Stylistically, the client was looking for extremely sporty lines and specified a ‘visor’ effect for the glasshouse: a black-painted A-pillar, very much in the style of the 1984 Ferrari GTO, helps provide a wraparound solution between the windscreen and side windows which thus meld into a single, seamless glass surface. The solution lowers the roofline and makes full use of the aerodynamically design back C-pillar.

The bespoke Ferrari was completed in Bianco Italia and comes complete with a livery that pays homage to the Italian flag. The all-new bodywork has been handcrafted in aluminium with composite carbon-fibre bumpers front and rear. The 458 MM Speciale also sports a new side air scoop; a fairly distinctive element among the host of aerodynamic revisions.

The side intakes are devised to allow direct additional cooling of the engine bay to compensate for the different rake of the rear. The tail features a spoiler which balances the downforce evenly and also completes the beltline that sweeps back along the side from the front wheel arch. Adding to the attire are a set of exclusive wheels to go along with this very unique car.

Inside, the cockpit upgrades benefits from an enhanced audio system and trim definition to match the owner’s specific wishes. The interior is wrapped in premium Cioccolato leather with white stitching elegantly accented by a slew of luxury touches such as the satin white rings around the tunnel controls.

There are no details on what this cost the customer, but one thing is for sure, it wasn’t cheap.

First unveiled at the New York International Auto Show in March, the 2017 Nissan GT-R boasts the biggest update since its debut in 2007. The supercar features new look both inside and out, as well as receiving major driving performance enhancements in key areas, which include a significantly reinforced chassis and more power from its twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 engine.

The company today released further details on the 2017 GT-R, accompanied by new high resolution photos and a new video explaining the GT-R’s updates.

Highlighting the front of the car are a redesigned bonnet, front bumpers, Daytime Running Lights (DRL), and a new matte chrome finish “V-motion” grille. The grille has been enlarged to increase airflow to cool the engine without causing any additional drag.

In addition to the new grille and bonnet, the curving profile of the front under spoiler has been slightly extended and lowered by a few millimeters to improve airflow at the its lower edge. By reshaping the sill lip along the lower portions of the sides of the car, the amount of air being drawn underneath has been reduced, countering vehicle lift and improving stability.

The C-pillars have also been redesigned, with the upper portion now shaped to deliver better airflow management by preventing the generation of a smaller vortex.

The rear of the new GT-R continues to be defined by its iconic round taillights, but look closely and you’ll notice a silver-finish diffuser and new side air vents that have been incorporated next to the quad titanium exhaust tips to improve the car’s aerodynamics. The rear bumper section now incorporates the same design featured on the GT-R Nismo for better routing of air at the lower portion of the rear of the vehicle. This has also led to less interference between the exhaust gases exiting the tailpipes and airflow along the rear side portions of the bumper for improved heat evacuation.

The interior has a much more premium feel, thanks to the high-quality leather draped over the entire dashboard and instrument panel. The shape of the dashboard adopts what Nissan describes as ‘horizontal flow’, in the sense that it delivers a sense of increased stability for the car’s front-seat occupants. Continuing the flow, the line from the instrument cluster to the centre console provides a distinct driver-oriented environment for those behind the steering wheel.

The centre dashboard layout has also been improved. Integrated navigation and audio controls cut the number of switches from 27 in the earlier model to only 11 in the 2016 model. The touch screen has also been upgraded to a new eight-inch panel featuring larger icons that make it easy to operate. A new display control on the carbon fibre centre console allows easy operation.

The GT-R’s 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine follows through, with each unit handcrafted by its own Takumi technician. The engine comes retuned and now delivers 419kW of power with 632Nm of torque. The improved output is the result of individual ignition timing control of the cylinders and extra boost from the turbochargers, these enhancements allow the new GT-R to acceleration harder from 3200 rpm onwards. The engine comes mated to a six-speed dual clutch transmission and features smoother shifts with less noise.

Audi has unveiled the facelifted A3 and S3 line up. Launching later this year across all body shapes including Sedan, Sportback and Cabriolet, the new A3 receives a revised front fascia that now resembles more closely to the new A4 than the A6. Changes at the front include restyled headlamps and grill, as well as updated front bumper with revised fog lamp housing.

At the rear, subtle tweaks include new design taillight cluster and revised rear diffuser. Other updates include an extended color palette and newly optional matrix LED headlights.

Inside, the new A3 range features a new steering wheel, redesigned air vents and new trim colours. But the biggest news on the interior is the upgraded Audi MMI system with Virtual Cockpit 12.3-inch digital instrumentation now available across the range. Audi has also made improvements to voice controls and layout of menus.

In terms of new technology, the 2016 A3 range can be equipped with a new traffic assist system which can autonomously drive the car at speeds of up to 60km/h, working in conjunction with the enhanced active lane assist system, adaptive cruise control and Stop&Go feature.

The current crop of four-cylinder turbocharged petrol and diesel engines will be carried across, joined by a new 1.0-litre TFSI three-cylinder petrol engine with 86kW of power and 200Nm of torque. The eco-friendly A3 e-tron plug-in hybrid will also be available.

At the top of the range, the revised S3 performance model will receive an upgraded 2.0-litre TFSI four-cylinder petrol engine developing 213kW of power and 400Nm of torque. Audi engineers have integrated S3-specific control for the Electronic Stability Control and multi-plate clutch, which is said to give the sports sedan even better driving dynamics.

The revised 2016 Audi A3 and S3 range is expected to go on sale in the third quarter of this year with Australian pricing and specification announced closer to launch.

Every body panel is replaced during the conversion, however Vaydor claims the conversion can be completed at home. No chassis stretching or major mechanical modifications are required, as the kit comes largely bolt on. No major electrical modifications are required either; Vaydor claims that you could “leave the car running with the air on while you’re building it”, although we wouldn’t recommend it.

The kit can be applied to both convertible and coupe bodies.

Renault has uncovered their bold new concept car – the Renault Corbusier. It was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the death of France’s best known architect, Le Corbusier.

The new concept car unfortunately has no ties to any future project from Renault, instead they insist that this artistic model is produced in order to provide their designers a chance “to explore new ways forward and offer creative staff more leisurely moments”. Renault describes the concept as “a 21st century car inspired by the architect’s modernist principles and theories”. The work produced by Corbusier is considered by Renault “as a conceptual prequel to the modern automobile”.

Unfortunately no official details regarding power-train, dimensions or any other specific details have been released by Renault. The concept features pronounced rear arches, sensational dihedral doors, sleek body and slim roof line to list a few.

The stunning concept will be on display at the ‘Cars for living’ exhibition at Villa Savoye; a modernist villa on the outskirts of Paris that was designed by Le Corbusier himself!

The Russian vehicle manufacturer Lada (AutoVas) hasn’t been known for developing super cars or visionary prototypes, however Russian designer Dmitry Lazarev believes its time his country’s most infamous manufacturer got their act together to develop a proper supercar.

Following the recent bankruptcy of Marussia motors, Russia’s only super car manufacturer, it’s probably time for Lada to enter the premium sports car market.

From the Renderings it appears as though the designer intends on a mid-engine configuration for the Raven. The vehicle features massive gaping grills in the front and large vents in the rear. The enormous wheel arches surround the stunning 5 spoke concave wheels.

The Lada Raven is a stunningly outlandish design. So far there is no word as to whether the Raven will enter production, we can only hope that someday it will.

Premium wheel manufacturer MORR Wheels has released new photos of their project – a F30 BMW 3 Series rolling on a set of staggered 19 inch MORR SpunForged FS77 wheels.

The super lightweight wheels, finished in Satin Black, adds a subtle contrast to the Black Sapphire BMW 335i. The wheels fill up the wheel arches of the M4 with sizes measuring 19×9 in the front and 19×10 in the rear.

The car sits closer to the ground with a set of lowering suspension for that aggressive stance, finished off with a carbon fibre front bumper lip spoiler and blacked out kidney grille and wing mirrors.

Lexus has unveiled its latest high performance ‘F’ branded model, the GS F, at the 2015 North American International Auto Show, along with fresh new high resolution photos of the sports sedan.

The much-anticipated GS F becomes the second model to join the marque’s performance oriented ‘F’ line that includes the recently launched RC F sports coupe.

GS F, which is based on the mid-sized GS luxury sedan, breaks new ground for Lexus as the largest vehicle ever offered with an F badge.

It is powered by the same engine found under the bonnet of the RC F, a naturally-aspirated 5.0-litre V8 producing 348 kW of power and 527 Nm of torque. Improved fuel efficiency is provided through the use of Atkinson cycle fuel delivery during narrower throttle openings.

The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters and three driving modes: Normal, Sport S and Sport S+, driving through the rear wheels.

Honed at the Fuji circuit in Japan as well as Germany’s famed Nürburgring, Lexus says the GS F embraces the virtues of sound, response and power, the cornerstones of the ‘F’ brand, though it has not disclosed official performance figures.

The GS F features structural reinforcements and an exclusively designed suspension system to match the car’s extra power, along with larger tyres (255/35-19 front, and 275/35-19 rear) as well as an upgraded braking system complete with bright orange callipers.

Lexus’ Torque Vectoring Differential (TVD), also found in the RC F, features three operating modes: Standard (default), providing a balance of agility and firmness; Slalom, emphasising nimble steering response and agility; and Track, which enhances stability during high-speed circuit driving.

Distinguishing design elements on the GS F include an enlarged and more pronounced version of Lexus’ trademark ‘spindle’ grille, with a distinctive mesh pattern and large gaping air vents, front fender air breathers, side skirts, revised rear diffuser with stacked quad exhaust tips and bespoke 19-inch wheels.

Slim canted headlights with the signature Lexus L-shaped daytime running lamps complete the GS F’s aggressive makeover.

The GS F’s cabin gains an F steering wheel and a new electronic instrument cluster lifted straight from the RC F, which can be configured between four different displays depending on preferred driving style: Normal, Eco, Sport S and Sport S+.

Custom front and rear seats provide occupants with more lateral support, while carbon fibre trims on the dashboard and doors further add to the sporty touches.

Lexus Australia is currently negotiating to introduce GS F to the local market.

Following the release of official pricing for the all-new BMW M3 sedan and the M4 Coupé, BMW has released new high resolution wallpaper images of the M4 Coupe in Sapphire Black. 

The striking paint work is one of many colours available for the new M4, including Alpine White, Mineral Grey Metallic, Sakhir Orange, Melbourne Red, Black Sapphire Metallic,Silverstone Metallic and Mineral White Metallic. Two new unique colours have also been introduced – Yas Marina Blue Metallic and Austin Yellow Metallic.

Both the M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe can be configured with the same exterior colour pallet. The interior upholstery and trim options are also identical.

At the heart of the new M3 and M4 is BMW’s high-revving 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbocharged in-line engine producing 317kW of power and 550Nm of torque. It propels both cars from 0 to 100km/h in 4.1 seconds while consuming a claimed 25 per cent less fuel.

Thanks to the increased use of lightweight materials such as carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) and aluminium for a number of chassis and body components, including a carbon roof, both models are around 60kg lighter over the outgoing M3.

There’s no limitation when it comes to tuning. A statement best verified by tuner Vorsteiner with their latest project – the McLaren Mp4-VX – based on the MP4-12C, in a striking Volcano Orange paint job.

The MP4-VX package by Vorsteiner features a full exterior aerodynamic upgrade including carbon fibre front bumper, side sill extension blades and rear bumper designed to fit seamlessly with the factory PDC (Parking Distance Control) sensors.

Rolling stock is now provided by a set of forged VSM-311 wheels measuring 20×9 at the front and 21×12.5 at the rear. The wheels gets an orange accent to compliment the orange brake calipers and body paint work.

The mid-mounted twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine in the MP4-12C is left untouched and produces 460 kW of power and 600 Nm of torque.
